BBC Young Musician of the Year Success

A huge congratulations to George Brady on an incredible achievement in BBC Young Musician of the Year, making it to the final eight as the Brass Winner!

George has been part of EYO since 2022, most recently as our Principal Horn in 2026 and as a Trainee Tutor on our Ensembles Course, supporting and inspiring the next generation of young brass players. It’s wonderful to see his talent and dedication recognised in such a prestigious competition.

It was also fantastic to see so many representatives from Scotland in the final 40, and to hear from EYO alumni featured in the broadcast as part of George’s quintet.

Congratulations again to all the young musicians who reached the finals - we look forward to seeing what comes next!
