Verónica Urrego

Originally from Venezuela, Verónica Urrego studied violin through the prestigious El Sistema programme, earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance. During her career in Venezuela, she worked extensively as a teacher and conductor across several cities and led teacher training initiatives at various conservatoires. Now based in the United Kingdom, she serves as an upper strings tutor and conductor with Sistema Scotland and holds a Master’s Degree in Learning and Teaching in the Performing Arts from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. Verónica has also collaborated with organisations including the National Children’s Orchestras of Great Britain, National Youth Orchestra of Scotland, Australian Youth Orchestra, Music Generation Ireland.
